WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. authorities on Friday granted Short-term Protected Standing for 18 months for Ethiopians presently residing in america, the Division of Homeland Safety mentioned.

“The US acknowledges the continued armed battle and the extraordinary and momentary circumstances engulfing Ethiopia, and DHS is dedicated to offering momentary safety to these in want,” Homeland Safety Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas mentioned in an announcement asserting the designation.
