NEW YORK (Reuters) – The U.S. Division of Justice stated it obtained a court docket order blocking two firearms corporations from imperiling public security by illegally promoting units to transform AR-15-type rifles into machine weapons.
U.S. District Decide Nina Morrison in Brooklyn on Wednesday issued a brief restraining order towards Florida-based Uncommon Breed Triggers LLC and Uncommon Breed Firearms LLC, and their house owners.
The Justice Division stated the defendants have offered 1000’s of units generally known as FRT-15s, which are designed and meant to transform AR-15-style semiautomatic firearms into machine weapons.
It stated these units are subsequently categorized as machine weapons beneath federal legislation, and didn’t qualify for the restricted exceptions allowing their sale.
