NEW YORK (Reuters) – World primary Iga Swiatek beat Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur 6-2 7-6(5) within the U.S. Open remaining on Saturday to assert her maiden trophy at Flushing Meadows and third Grand Slam title.

Poland’s Swiatek hugged Jabeur after prevailing within the tight second set tiebreak, having sealed the win when the fifth seed’s forehand sailed lengthy.

It was Swiatek’s tenth straight victory in a remaining and the primary main title on a tough courtroom for the twice French Open champion.
