Many retreating Russian troops close to Kharkiv have exited Ukraine -U.S. official By Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The US assesses that Russia has largely ceded its features close to Kharkiv and plenty of retreating Russian troopers have exited Ukraine, shifting over the border again into Russia, a senior U.S. army official mentioned on Monday.

“General we assess the Ukrainians are making progress as they combat to liberate and reclaim territory within the south and east,” the U.S. army official instructed reporters, talking on situation of anonymity, with out providing a quantity.

“On the bottom within the neighborhood of Kharkiv we assess that Russian forces have largely ceded their features to the Ukrainians and have withdrawn to the north and east. Many of those forces have moved over the border into Russia.”
