LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Former film producer Harvey Weinstein was discovered responsible of rape in a trial in Los Angeles on Monday, the second conviction for the one-time Hollywood kingmaker who grew to become the face of #MeToo sexual abuse allegations 5 years in the past, in line with the Los Angeles Superior Courtroom.
The jury discovered Weinstein responsible of rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by international object involving one girl, however acquitted him of prices referring to a second alleged sufferer.
The jury couldn’t attain a verdict on two allegations, together with rape, by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the spouse of California’s Democratic governor Gavin Newsom, and didn’t attain a verdict on prices relating to at least one different ladies.
