Japan, US arranging summit assembly in Washington on Jan 13

TOKYO (Reuters) – The US and Japan have begun making preparations for a summit assembly between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Washington on Jan. 13, the Yomiuri every day reported on Wednesday.

Citing a number of unidentified Japanese authorities sources, the newspaper mentioned Kishida plans to debate Japan’s new safety coverage, revised this month to unveil the nation’s largest navy build-up since World Warfare Two.

The January assembly can be Kishida’s first summit on the White Home since he took workplace final 12 months.
