A constructing collapsed Tuesday morning after an explosion in Chicago, sending a number of folks to hospitals and prompting a seek for individuals who should still be contained in the construction.
The collapse occurred simply earlier than 9:30 a.m. on West Washington Boulevard and North Central Avenue, the Chicago Hearth Division mentioned in a tweet.
“There was an explosion at Central & West Finish,” the division mentioned in one other tweet. “Adjoining constructing is being evacuated. There are a selection of transports.”
No less than eight folks have been taken to hospitals, based on officers. Three are described as having critical to important accidents.
The reason for the explosion is unknown, the fireplace division mentioned.
