“Sending folks to jail for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives and incarcerated folks for conduct that many states not prohibit,” Biden stated in an announcement. “Prison information for marijuana possession have additionally imposed unnecessary obstacles to employment, housing, and academic alternatives.
