BRUSSELS (Reuters) – A police officer was stabbed to dying on Thursday night within the north Brussels commune of Schaerbeek, whereas one other was injured, Belgian media reported on Thursday.
Belgium’s federal prosecutors, who deal with circumstances of terrorism and organised crime, weren’t instantly out there to substantiate media reviews of a suspected terror assault.
Belgian newspaper Le Soir stated the attacker had threatened a police station earlier within the day earlier than being taken to a hospital for a psychiatric analysis.
“Our cops threat their lives each day to make sure the protection of our residents. At the moment’s drama demonstrates this as soon as once more,” Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo wrote on Twitter.
