“Particularly, we’re looking for your views on, how carefully Endeavour’s lodges and bottle retailers compete with Beachfront Lodge; the supply of different lodges and bottle retailers within the space, and; whether or not Endeavour’s elevated dimension would impression the acquisition of liquor merchandise on the wholesale stage,” the ACCC mentioned in a separate market inquiries letter addressed to the general public.
Submissions shut at 5pm on January 16, and the regulator expects to make a closing determination by March 9, though this date is topic to alter.
A spokesperson for Endeavour Group mentioned it acknowledged the ACCC’s announcement and that it was working constructively with the regulator on its assessment.
“The Beachfront Lodge is a well-established, premium venue, standard with households, locals and vacationers. It’s an iconic pub and an vital a part of the area people,” the spokesperson mentioned.
