4 Iranian cops injured, one assistant killed after protests

DUBAI (Reuters) – 4 Iranian cops have been injured and one “police assistant” died from accidents on Tuesday within the southern metropolis of Shiraz following violent protests, the official IRNA information company reported on Wednesday.

“On Tuesday night, some folks clashed with cops and consequently one of many police assistants was killed. On this incident, 4 different cops have been injured in Shiraz,” IRNA stated.

Fifteen protesters have been arrested in Shiraz on Tuesday, in accordance with an official quoted by IRNA.
